Southall Live Facial Recognition Operation Delivers Positive Results
On Wednesday 21st October 2026, officers from Ealing Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) and the Special Constabulary carried out a Live Facial Recognition (LFR) operation in Southall.
The operation resulted in the arrest of six wanted offenders for a range of offences, including drug supply, theft, and violence-related crimes. Following their arrests, officers identified further offences involving two individuals who were found in possession of Class A and Class B drugs, as well as a large Rambo-style knife.
In addition, officers conducted compliance checks relating to a Registered Sex Offender, who was also identified through the use of Live Facial Recognition technology.
These results highlight how LFR continues to support policing by helping officers locate wanted individuals, safeguard communities, and prevent further offending. We remain committed to tackling crime, removing dangerous offenders from our streets, and keeping Southall safe for everyone.
